FREE Indoor Kids Play Area in Colorado Springs/Denver

A friend told me about this phenomenon when we moved here from Virginia last year. The Focus on the Family Welcome Center in Colorado Springs, an easy 50-minute car ride south of Denver, is perfect for days like today when it’s too cold to do anything outdoors, the kids are on Christmas break and are driving you slightly crazy, and you have no money left to spend on movie tickets, museums, or snacks and toys at the mall.
The entire basement floor of the The Welcome Center is a dedicated kid zone, and admission is FREE (my favorite four-letter F word). With features like a three-story corkscrew slide, Chronicles of Narnia wardrobe room, life-size airplane, turn-of-the-century soda shoppe, and toddler room, this place almost has it all. The only thing missing? Wifi.
